The construction of a new two story
annex, including a plant room at roof
level, on the existing Sobell House garden site.

This extension introduced six new ground floor bedrooms dedicated to palliative care for dementia patients, along with a new lymphedema clinic providing outpatient services for cancer patients.

The first floor accommodated additional administration office space and staff welfare facilities. Preserving and enhancing the courtyard garden was essential, ensuring a balanced mix of hard and soft landscaping. The new annex added enclosure and privacy, significantly improving the garden.

Construction featured a steel frame with a beam-and-block ground-floor slab, along with hollow-core concrete planks for the first-floor and roof levels. The façade was finished with white Stotherm insulated render to match the existing hospice and was complemented by curtain walling and composite aluminum windows and doors.
