  • Redesigned landscaping to the south side of the Radcliffe Observatory
  • Phase one of a two-phase programme
  • Careful relocation of precious John Radcliffe bronze statue
This project represents Phase One of a two-phase programme of works to the historic Radcliffe Observatory in Oxford.
The completed phase delivers a redesigned landscape to the south side of the Observatory, significantly enhancing accessibility through the introduction of sensitively integrated ramps, while also providing strong visual appeal. The design has been carefully developed to mirror and complement the landscaping of the adjacent Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, creating a cohesive relationship between the two sites.

Early in the project, the team successfully coordinated the complex relocation of the historic John Radcliffe bronze statue to its new setting. This operation was carried out in the early hours of the morning to ensure minimal disruption and to allow the work to be undertaken with the utmost care.

The project was delivered to a very high standard and received exceptional feedback from Green Templeton College.
