The development was built on the site of some redundant tennis courts and an existing sports field within the school campus. 

Each bedroom block was built in units of 8 rooms with a communal kitchen. The shower rooms in each room were all manufactured off-site and are placed in position as work proceeds. All blocks were built in facing brickwork and render, pitched tiled roofs surrounding a landscaped courtyard.

The lecture theatre and pastoral centre is a two-storey reinforced concrete frame and cladding with curtain walling on the front elevation and brick on the sides and rear.
