The project incorporates a large spanning high-quality concrete frame, external cladding in 'burnt' timber and large expanses of glazed facade.
The internal palette includes polished plasters and polished concrete floors to complement the detailing in the superstructure.
Internal and external spaces include a swimming pool, treatment rooms, tennis court, car workshop, exhibition space and helicopter hangar.
The sustainable design incorporates a green roof, the re-use of a considerable volume of excavated material and a ground source heat recovery system.
The leisure building is inserted into the ground and is sympathetically landscaped to accommodate a ramped car entrance and helicopter landing pad.
