Our Special Projects team are pleased to share that works at Wadham College are now finished with Staircases 1-3 and the Warden’s Lodgings handed back to the college.
The re-roofing works to all 3 staircases are complete, with most of the original stone slates able to be re-used, along with upgrading the thermal performance with the introduction of new hemp insulation.
The existing lead downpipes and hoppers have been meticulously restored. The original oak dormer windows have been sensitively restored on site, retaining their original character. Secondary glazing has been installed throughout the top floor bedrooms using ‘Fineo Heritage’ vacuum glass to further improve the thermal efficiency.
