Following on from our previous post revisiting some of our favourite projects from 2024, we wanted to look back on some of our completed Special Projects from last year.
Special projects carry out work from £1,000 to £2.5million across a wide range of specialities, from careful refurbishments of listed buildings, to producing high tech labourites for Oxford’s world leading science area and various high quality residential refurbishments and new builds. Supported by our in-house trade operatives and carefully vetted supply chain, we have had a hugely successful 2024 and are looking forward to working with our clients to produce more fantastic projects in 2025.

Department of Biochemistry, Oxford University
The former glass wash and autoclave space was transformed into two new shared facilities: a Tissue Culture Laboratory and a Biophysics Small Research Facility. Refurbishing the third-floor laboratory has allowed the building to continue to meet the needs of cutting-edge research.
Photographs 3 and 4:
Holy Trinity Church, Headington
This project involved constructing an extension that now houses a modern kitchen, accessible WC, and meeting facilities, as well as internal works to enhance the Church’s overall functionality. Careful planning and coordination by the Special Projects team ensured that the church remained open throughout the duration of this project to guarantee that public services were not affected.

Merton, Oxford
Internal refurbishment was carried out to increase functionality and modernise spaces in the Wardens Lodgings. This included various drainage adaptions, four bathroom refurbishments, a range of new lighting, additional power sockets across rooms and the replacement of fittings and interior decorations throughout. Externally, new drainage was added to the rear garden, a staircase was removed and re-installed and a Juliet balcony was added.
Keep an eye out for more projects from the Special Projects team this year!
