Oxford University College Boathouse

The new Oxford University College Boathouse has been designed to compliment other existing boathouses along the Thames towpath. This new facility replaces the previous building that burned down in 2001.

The new building will provide a modern boat storage area to cater for 8's and smaller boats, maintenance area, gymnasium and changing facilities with full and immediate access to the River Thames. The building has a fully fitted en-suite caretaker's flat and en-suite student dormitory accommodation. Communal areas include a kitchen, lounge, bar and club room.
The external elevations boast a range of finishes including stack bonded blue brickwork, cedar cladding/louvres, structural glass and a bronze roof. Security to the boat storage areas is afforded by motorised rolling shutter doors.
The external terraces to both front and rear elevations provide great viewing of the riverfront and Oxfordshire countryside.
