J A Pye (Oxford) Ltd, Kidlington

This project at J A Pye, Kidlington comprises of a new two-storey office building with archive space utilised within the roof, and was procured as a two-stage Design & Build Contract.

The building incorporates office space on two floors, archive area within the roof space and an external workshop/store for vehicle maintenance and storage for the J A Pye maintenance department.
The structure of the main office building consists of driven piled foundations, ground beams, steel frame, pre-cast concrete ground floor and insitu concrete first floor, tack tray with slate roof finish. Walls are of traditional brick and block cavity construction with blockwork internal walls.
On one end of the building curtain walling was installed to the curved face, which gave the building an impressive feature.
Externally, car parking was provided alongside the external landscaping and planting scheme.
