  • Mixed truss, timber and steel roof finished in zinc‑coated aluminium.
  • Brick/block cavity walls with acoustic upgrades and aluminium glazing/doors.
  • Internal blockwork, hardwood joinery, specialist music rooms, studio and landscaped seating mound.
Works comprised the construction of a new two‑storey music building formed primarily in loadbearing masonry on piled foundations with an in‑situ reinforced concrete ground slab. Upper floors were a mix of in‑situ and precast concrete, with precast stairs.
The roof combined trusses, cut timber and steelwork, finished with a zinc‑coated aluminium covering. External walls were brick and concrete‑block cavity construction with additional acoustic blockwork where required. Windows, curtain walling and external doors were double‑glazed, powder‑coated aluminium.

Internal walls were concrete blockwork, with timber door sets and hardwood joinery throughout.

The building accommodated individual practice and teaching rooms, larger performance spaces and a recording studio. Externally, landscaping included a raised mound to provide informal seating for outdoor performances.
