The refurbishment of Activate Learning’s Oxford campus created a new Lifestyle Centre that transforms the way students learn while offering high quality salon, health and fitness facilities for the people of Oxford.

The project redesigned the ground and first floors to include a hair and beauty salon with eight individual treatment rooms, a gym with views over the river and a welcoming café, all open to the public.

New classrooms and training areas were added, together with a student enrolment area, toilets, showers and a lift serving every floor. The architects delivered a fresh vision for the college, using clean lines and subtle detailing to create a sense of modernity, clarity and space.

The design allowed the college to adapt the look and feel of the interior over time with new graphics and displays to suit future marketing needs. Outside, improved landscaping and a new walkway from the town centre guide visitors towards the impressive main entrance.
